Submit Your Film to GLASGOW FILMSTOCK 2025

GLASGOW FILMSTOCK proudly accepts entries via FilmFreeway, the world's leading platform for film festival submissions. We welcome filmmakers from around the globe to share bold, short-form stories with us.

The official submission window for our 2nd Edition (November 7, 2025) is now open. Selected films will be part of a one-day showcase in Glasgow, with additional opportunities for curated screenings, filmmaker discussions, and community engagement.

All selected films automatically enter the competition. Award-winning films will receive digital laurels, certificates, and be featured prominently across our promotional channels. The ceremony and screenings will be held on November 7, 2025.

We screen only the best: each film is reviewed by a curatorial board and evaluated not just on technical merit, but on voice, innovation, and emotional resonance.

Rules & Terms

1.
Eligibility: We welcome short films from all over the world, produced in or after January 2022. Films must not exceed 40 minutes in length, including credits.
2.
Language: Films in any language are accepted. However, all non-English films must include English subtitles. Submissions without English subtitles will not be considered.
3.
Premiere Status: Not required. We accept films that have screened at other festivals, but prefer those that have not yet been widely distributed online.
4.
Technical Requirements: If selected, you will be asked to provide a high-quality digital file (.mp4 or .mov preferred). Filmmakers are responsible for ensuring all submitted files meet technical requirements for screening.
5.
Rights & Permissions: By submitting a film, you confirm that you own the rights or have obtained necessary permissions for all content, including music, images, and script. The festival bears no responsibility for copyright issues.
6.
Selection Process: All submissions are reviewed by our programming team and guest curators. Selection is based on originality, craft, emotional resonance, and vision.
7.
Notification: All selected filmmakers will be notified by email and FilmFreeway. Please ensure your contact details are current.
8.
Awards: Selected films will be eligible for jury and audience awards. Winners will receive certificates, laurels, and inclusion in our official press releases and promotional campaigns.
